Hi, I’m Robyn. 👋
I write poetry inspired by the small, beautiful moments in life.
I’m a poet, writer, hiker, backpacker, climber… basically an all-around creative and adventurer based in Vancouver, Canada.
I write poetry about love, anxiety, dreaming big, and the small joys all around us. I write and create for those seeking thoughtful, relatable, and encouraging content.
You can now download my first poetry chapbook, Chasing Meteors. It’s a collection of 30 poems, and it’s pay what you want! You can also read 300+ of my watercolour poems here for free.
My poems have been published by Polar Expressions, Flora Fiction, Moss Piglet, Coffee People Zine, and more. Every year, I challenge myself to submit my work to at least one literary journal every month.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside. I’m a classic Pacific Northwest human: I love exploring in the mountains, playing in the ocean, don’t mind the rain, and even have two mountain tattoos. I’ll use any excuse I can to skip work and go hiking, backpacking, or climbing instead. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with my latest adventures.
Fun things to know about me:
I'm an obsessive reader and I'll never catch up on my 'To Be Read' list. There are currently 170 books waiting for me on my Kindle and 626 books on my To-Read shelf on Goodreads.
I trekked to Everest Base Camp in May of 2019, right at the start of summit season. The beauty of the Himalayan mountains and the energy of Base Camp is impossible to describe but I will still try my best if you ask me about it.
I have ten tattoos and some of them have great stories behind them. One is a tattoo of Mount Everest that I got in Nepal, and another is two words of a seven-page poem that nearly 1500 people around the world have gotten tattooed on them.
I started climbing in 2019, and have become an avid boulderer and lead climber. So far, I’ve climbed outdoors in Squamish, Skaha, Frenchman Coulee, Leavenworth, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Bali, and Iceland.
I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes. It’s my nerdy party trick, and I keep a tiny speed cube in my purse as a fidget toy.
I have a weird obsession with anything related to earth sciences, like tectonic plates, volcanoes, tornadoes, weather patterns, and cloud types.
