Ski Trip to Big White

A big friends ski trip to Big White - we’d had our weekend scheduled for months in advance. When that weekend finally came around? There was a cold snap and it was -35 degrees celsius. 🥶

So we bundled up even more than usual and skipped the first day of riding since it was way too cold and only a couple of lifts were running anyways. We wandered the village in quick spurts, ordered pizza to our Airbnb, watched the Canucks game, and played a ton of board games.

We finally got to skiing and riding on Sunday, and despite the cold, it was amazing conditions! Blue bird skies, fresh powder, and no lift lines since the crowds were deterred by the cold. As a newer snowboarder, it was some of the best riding I’ve done so far and it was great to crushing powder with so many friends.
