Playing Tourist with an International Friend
I first met Jared Woods in September 2022 while we were both visiting Reykjavík. We hung out in a couple of bars downtown, spending a single evening talking about digital nomadism and projects we were working on and travel hacks we had tried. I was shocked that he travelled with a huge suitcase and he implored me to publish my book of poetry.
Almost two years later, Jared came around to Vancouver and I offered him a place to stay, along with a little tour guiding. Over a few days, I took Jared to some of the classic spots outside of Vancouver - White Rock, Shannon Falls, downtown Squamish, the train wreck hike, Whistler Village, and of course, around Stanley Park.
